We do not use personal information for purposes materially incompatible with those described here without an appropriate legal basis or notice.

4. Legal Basis and Consent

Depending on the applicable law and purpose, we process personal information based on:

  • your consent;
  • performance of a purchase or service requested by you;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • prevention of fraud and protection of our services;
  • legitimate business purposes where permitted; or
  • another lawful basis available under applicable law.

Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent through the available preference controls or by contacting us.

Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawfully completed before consent was withdrawn.

5. Orders, Payments and Delivery

To complete an order, relevant information may be shared with authorised providers involved in:

  • payment processing;
  • fraud prevention;
  • order fulfilment;
  • shipping and courier services;
  • transaction communications; and
  • refunds.

Payment providers process financial information according to their own security and regulatory requirements.

VÉDNOIR generally receives transaction status and identifiers necessary to confirm and manage the order rather than sensitive authentication credentials.

6. Service Providers

We may share only the information reasonably necessary with trusted providers that help us operate our business, including:

  • hosting and technology providers;
  • payment processors;
  • couriers and fulfilment partners;
  • email, SMS, OTP, and communication providers;
  • customer-support systems;
  • analytics providers;
  • advertising platforms, subject to applicable consent requirements;
  • security and fraud-prevention providers; and
  • professional advisers where necessary.

Providers are expected to handle information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate contractual, technical, or legal safeguards.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, regulatory authority, or to protect legitimate legal rights.

7. Analytics and Advertising

VÉDNOIR may use analytics and advertising technologies to understand website performance, measure campaigns, improve customer experience, and advertise our products.

Depending on consent and applicable law, these technologies may use:

  • cookies;
  • device or browser identifiers;
  • IP-derived information;
  • campaign identifiers;
  • interaction data; and
  • pseudonymous advertising identifiers.

Where required, non-essential advertising or analytics technologies will be activated only after appropriate consent or choice.

We do not intentionally use sensitive health information to build advertising audiences.

We do not sell personal information for money.

However, certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be legally treated as “sharing” or a “sale” in some jurisdictions. Where applicable, we will provide any required consent or opt-out mechanism.

More information will be provided in our Cookie Policy.

8. Marketing Communications

You may receive promotional emails or other marketing communications when you have subscribed, consented, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

You can unsubscribe using the link provided in marketing emails or contact us at [email protected].

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary service communications such as:

  • order confirmations;
  • payment updates;
  • shipping notifications;
  • security messages;
  • return or refund updates; or
  • customer-support responses.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

  • website operation;
  • account sessions;
  • cart and checkout;
  • security;
  • remembering preferences;
  • analytics; and
  • advertising where permitted.

Essential technologies may be required for the website to function.

Non-essential cookie choices can be managed through our available consent controls or browser settings.

Further details are provided in our Cookie Policy.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

  • account operation;
  • order fulfilment;
  • customer support;
  • refunds and disputes;
  • fraud prevention;
  • tax and accounting requirements; and
  • legal or regulatory obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable law.

When information is no longer required, we may securely delete or anonymise it, subject to lawful retention requirements.

11. International Data Transfers

VÉDNOIR operates from India, while some service providers may process information in other countries.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards as required by applicable law.

International processing does not change our commitment to handling information only for legitimate and disclosed purposes.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion where legally available;
  • withdraw consent;
  • object to or restrict certain processing where applicable;
  • opt out of certain marketing or advertising uses;
  • request information about how your data is processed or shared;
  • request portability where legally available;
  • raise a privacy grievance or complaint; and
  • exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

We may reasonably verify your identity before fulfilling a request to protect customer information.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

13. Account Deletion

Customers may request deletion of their VÉDNOIR account by contacting [email protected] or using an account-deletion option where available.

Deleting an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of information that we must retain for:

  • completed transactions;
  • tax or accounting records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • refunds or chargebacks;
  • legal claims; or
  • other lawful obligations.

Such information will be retained only for the applicable purpose and period.

14. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against:

  • unauthorised access;
  • loss;
  • misuse;
  • alteration;
  • improper disclosure; and
  • destruction.

Measures may include secure connections, access controls, restricted credentials, monitoring, and appropriate security safeguards used by our service providers.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Customers should also protect their passwords, OTPs, devices, and account access.

VÉDNOIR will never ask for a UPI PIN, card PIN, banking password, or payment OTP through unofficial communications.

15. Children’s Privacy

VÉDNOIR's online store and products are not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental or guardian consent is required by applicable law.

If we learn that personal information relating to a child has been collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to address or delete it as required.

Parents or guardians may contact [email protected] regarding such information.

16. Business Changes

If VÉDNOIR or Védnoir Wellness undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale, or transfer of relevant business assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Any receiving organisation will be required to handle the information according to applicable law and relevant privacy commitments.

17. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and VÉDNOIR is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of unrelated third parties.

Customers should review the applicable privacy information before providing personal information to another website.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, services, technology, providers, legal requirements, or business operations change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated Last Updated date.

Where legally required, material changes may also be communicated through an additional notice or request for consent.
